Week OneDigitial literacy issues wish to address in the project. Resource tools to set up a data base of information related to textiles Academic writing tools available and learning the relevant usage to present the database for use by students and academic staff Learning to use the basic communication tools and community communication tools to help facilitate a more informed communication resource. 1. Outline of first workshop The introductions about the project were very informative followed by what the participants were intending to work with. There was a wide skill base with an interesting collection of what peoples interests and outcomes were to be. The short film was informative, and presented far reaching ideas of the future while having a underlying thread suggesting a sinister undercurrent with loss of the human element and focusing on the possible "digital takeover of our control over the digital tools. I can see that there are a lot of digital tools available and I am not quite sure where to start.
